He added that the movement would continue to hold the Labour Party and its leader, Peter Obi, accountable, even if they deviate from their principles.

This statement followed the Labour Party's recent decision to rename its Directorate of Obidient Affairs to the Directorate of Mobilisation and Integration after facing criticism.
The party's National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, announced that the inauguration would take place on Saturday, June 8, at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
Peter Obi also clarified that the Obidient Movement extends beyond the Labour Party and traditional political boundaries.
