JUST IN: Blackout Looms As EEDC Threatens Mass Disconnections

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has announced plans to disconnect electricity supply to customers in the South-East region who have outstanding bills. 

This action, starting on June 10, is necessary due to significant unpaid electricity bills and arrears, which have severely impacted the company's revenue.

 The EEDC serves Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Abia, and Ebonyi states. Affected customers, including various state governments, universities, military establishments, and corporations, have been urged to settle their debts by June 10 to avoid disconnection. 

The company stressed the importance of timely bill payments to maintain operations and service quality.
