The enforcement team, led by the state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Fabian Nwigbo, has been going around the state to ensure that workers adhere to the strike.
After locking the gate of the state secretariat with a padlock, the team proceeded to the Ministry of Lands and drove out workers who were present before the gate was locked.
Speaking to journalists, Comrade Nwigbo mentioned that the team was heading to the Akanu Ibiam International Airport to halt expected activities there.
He noted a nationwide power outage, enforced by the National Union of Electricity Employees, and advised workers to stay home to ensure the strike's success and compel the government to meet labour's demands.
Meanwhile, it was observed that no flights, both local and international, have landed at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu since Monday morning, indicating a complete paralysis of activities at the airport.
