JUST IN: Again, Bandits Kill Police Officials

Two policemen on duty and an unarmed passer-by were shot dead on Tuesday morning by unidentified gunmen in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.

 The attack occurred at Ama-John Junction along Okigwe Road.

According to an eyewitness, the gunmen ambushed the officers, creating panic in the area.

 Motorists and passengers have since avoided the busy route.

 A resident described the scene, mentioning that the gunmen, traveling in a Toyota Sienna, fled towards Okigwe after the attack.

The spokesman of the Imo State Police Command, Henry Okoye, stated that he had not yet been briefed on the incident.
