The attack was confirmed by the State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Shehu Dalijan, who stated that the terrorists were retaliating against police efforts that had prevented their activities for over two years.
The attack occurred around 5:10 am on Thursday, as villagers were preparing for morning prayers.
The assailants burned two houses, a car, and several silos, and rustled livestock including three camels, cows, sheep, and goats.
No abductions were reported.
A resident, Muhammad Yusuf, recounted that this was the fourth attack on the village since the deployment of a mobile police unit.
Another resident, Ibrahim Shehu, mentioned that many villagers fled in anticipation of further attacks.
The State Police PPRO, Yezid Abubakar, stated that he was aware of the incident and would seek further details from the command.
