Fresh Update On Atiku's Meeting With IBB

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, visited former military Heads of State Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar on Wednesday. Atiku met with both former leaders at their residences in Minna, Niger State.

 He shared on X: "Today, I paid Sallah homage to former Heads of State Gen. Ibrahim Babangida (rtd) and Gen. Abdulsalami at their residences in Minna, Niger State." 

This visit occurs amid speculation that Atiku is laying the groundwork for a potential 2027 presidential bid.

 In May, Atiku had expressed his intention to continue running for the presidency as long as he remains healthy. 

He made this remark while working to form a coalition with Peter Obi of the Labour Party and other political entities.
