JUST IN: OpenAI Strikes $250 Million Deal with Popular News Organization to Enhance AI Journalism Content

OpenAI, the developer behind ChatGPT, has entered a $250 million agreement with News Corp to access its journalism content over the next five years.

This deal includes material from prominent publications such as The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, The Sun, the New York Post, the Times, and the Sunday Times.

This move comes after OpenAI faced legal issues for using articles without permission to train its AI models.

The agreement aims to provide OpenAI with high-quality data to enhance the accuracy and reliability of its AI-generated content.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman spoke deeply  on the partnership's significance in combining journalism and technology to uphold high standards in news reporting.

Similar agreements have been made with other media outlets like the Financial Times and the Associated Press.

Competitor Google has also secured a deal with News Corp, while some publishers like The New York Times continue to pursue legal action against OpenAI for copyright infringement.
